Lancaster County
Lancaster County is located on the Northern Neck of Virginia, bordering the mouth of the Rappahannock River along the Chesapeake Bay. Families of notable influence in the social, political and economic climate of the colonies built magnificent “empires” here, and the family names like Carter and Ball still are prevalent today. Lancaster County is home to the first class resort, the Tides Inn, located just outside of the quaint, historical town of Irvington. Other noteworthy Towns in the County include the Towns of Kilmarnock, Lancaster, Morattico, White Stone, and Weems.
